Glenelg midfielder Lachlan Earl and Woodville-West Torrens ball magnet Jake Comitogianni are joint winners of the 2016 Reserves Magarey Medal.

Both polling 13 votes, the prolific on-ballers finished just one vote ahead of joint runners-up Aseri Rakiwasa (Woodville-West Torrens) and Levi Proude (Port Adelaide).

Joining the Tigers’ Under-17 side in 2008, Earl also played five IGA League matches this year as he strived to break into Matt Lokan’s best 21.

A popular clubman, the 24-year-old – who measures in at 184cm and 82kg – is currently involved in Reserves finals – racking up 25 disposals and seven clearances in the Qualifying Final.

Aged just 18, Comitogianni continues to add to his list of accolades after winning last year’s Macca’s Cup MVP Award in the Under-18 competition.

Originally from the Woodville South Football Club, Comitogianni 16 Reserves matches this year despite still being eligible for the Under-18 Macca’s Cup.

It is the third time in four seasons there has been a tie for the Reserves Magarey Medal.

Central’s Travis Schiller and West’s Nick Homburg shared honours in 2013 while Eagle Matt Appleton and Norwood’s Dylan Reinbrecht – now playing with Glenelg – were joint winners last year.

Congratz Jake you deserve it!!!!

If you get picked up in the AFL draft then WTG!!!! but if you stay with us then I wish you all the very best for a Solid 10 year league career with the Eagles and may it contain a few if not more Magarey's and at least half a dozen Premierships. Are we good? Yes we are;)
